Graduate Information
Although the Center is not a degree-granting program, students can choose to establish a formal affiliation with the Center. The Center provides funding support through graduate student research assistantships, research support, and travel grants to national meetings. In conjunction with the academic units in the College of Forest Resources, College of Engineering, School of Ocean and Fishery Sciences, and the School of Public Affairs, the Center also offers graduate level classes on river ecology, restoration ecology, and land/water interactions.

CFR 529/ESRM 429/FISH 529/PBAF 521/CEE 599 The Water Center Seminar-- This seminar is offered autumn, winter, and spring quarters for one credit. Invited faculty and guest lecturers from off campus discuss their research relating to water and water resources.

Research and Training
Students
affiliated with the Center are researching
issues covering a wide range of riparian related topics, including fish
habitat, aquatic invertebrates, and physical parameters of streams such
as temperature. Projects are listed under the research
section of this site. A roster of current students is listed under the
people section.
The Center has equipment that affiliated graduate students may borrow. Email cwws@u.washington.edu to find out what equipment is available and what the sign out procedures are.
