The UW Water Center is Closed

The UW Water Center closed on June 30, 2010, after 22 years of operation. This resulted from state budget cuts and changes in University of Washington program directions. The longstanding and popular Water Seminars will be continued through the School of Forest Resources and will remain open to the public as it has for years. See SFR's courses web page to access current seminar information. Water Center’s website will remain on-line with its rich collection of scientific research and educational outreach materials on water-resource issues for at least one year. Afterwards, research materials will remain available through the UW Libraries archives.
_________________________________________
The Water Center provides scientific information to address critical issues and solve problems concerning water resources and environmental health. We serve as a catalyst for interdisciplinary and collaborative work, bringing together expertise from engineering, forest resources, ocean and fishery sciences, public affairs, environmental science, law, urban planning, economics, and public health. By integrating research with education and outreach, we unite researchers, students, professionals, and the public. Please browse our website to learn about our resources and activities, and to meet the community of people and organizations involved with the Center.
